Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, also known as Psychoanalytic therapy or Psychoanalysis is based on increasing your self-understanding.
By taking a closer look at your ‘self’ and finding deeper insight into your ‘mind’ to identify underlying thoughts that can be referenced to emotional conflicts from past and present and recurring experiences.
This method of self exploration is a powerful and effective method toward healing.
This therapeutic process helps to identify defensive processes which hinder your emotional understanding and awareness of your behavior.
This therapeutic process also works at understanding issues that inhibit your sense of self and your self-esteem.
Through the psychoanalytic approach we explore inner emotional experiences and thought processes that you carry, and which affect your everyday experiences.
Psychoanalysis was created over 100 years ago by Sigmund Freud, and the practice continues to be as effective now as it was then and continues to have lasting and enduring effects that improve over time.
